TNF-alpha (tumor necrosis factor-alpha) is a naturally occurring cytokine that is involved in normal inflammatory and immune responses. TNF-alpha plays an important role in rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriasis, and Crohn’s lotion psoriasis disease. Elevated concentrations of TNF-alpha have been found in the joints of rheumatoid patients and in the colons of Crohn’s patients
